Die drei wichtigsten Anforderungen an einen DTG-Drucker sind eine Möglichkeit, das Kleidungsstück in einer festen Position zu halten, ein Tintenstrahldruckkopf und Spezialtinten (Inkjet-Textiltinten), die durch den Druckkopf direkt auf das Textil aufgetragen werden, und von dem aufgenommen werden Kleidungsstück Fasern.
